Investigate or Workplace Review?

The first thought of an HR manager when when a complaint is made is whether to open a formal investigation or not. Formal investigations involve a lot of time and resources – and for very serious issues, they may be the only way to proceed.

But often the nature of the complaint doesn’t justify a formal investigation, or isn’t specific enough to formally investigate.
